BEE Policy
Courierit SA (Pty) Ltd is fully committed to implementing Broad Base Black Economic Empowerment within our company. We take a firm stance to try and correct the inequalities of the past, as it is pivotal to continuous business growth, in order to ensure sustainable performance, and add shareholder value.
We believe that by adopting a BEE policy and putting it into action it will lead to social transformation within South Africa, trickling down to both Black communities and businesses.
Courierit believes that BEE is an essential medium to facilitate the meaningful participation of Blacks at all levels within the South African economy, and it is also a means to bridge the gap between the various income levels. We wish to implement BEE within all aspects of our business, targeting stakeholders, such as our employees, management, suppliers, customers, businesses and our community.
Courierit performed a BEE audit in February 2009.This was completed by Empowerdex, a renowned, accredited rating agency. The company achieved a level 6 on our audit, and the company is a value-adding supplier, hence our suppliers can claim 75% as BEE spend, when utilising our services. Procedures have been put in place to try and attain a Level 4 status with our next audit.
